I recently caught an episode of one of my all time favorite PBS show's, produced in association with Granada Television and filmed in England, the singular best adaptation of Sherlock Holmes that I have ever seen. Jeremy Brett is the best Sherlock ever, there have been other famous actors that were good in this role, but he is simply amazing. When you watch an episode you really believe he is Sherlock, with all his human foibles and quirks. PBS is now showing his best episodes on Thursday night on the station I get from Spokane Wa., I highly recommend this show for any fan of "Good Detective/Mystery" stories, and the sets are amazing as well.
It's not often that I like a video production of a novel or story better than the original, but this version of Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous character are actually better than the books, and I have them all in my library.
