Default Please help me explain the sentences......

"I see Mary eat."
"I see Mary eats."
"I see Mary eating."

Are the sentences above grammatical?
Then what are the differences between them?
Thank you.

2 of them are gramatically correct.

All three sentences are grammatically correct. These are simple sentences. The action of the verb, eat, is changed by adding a suffix.

"I see Mary eat." the person is viewing the action.

"I see Mary eats." the person can see that mary does the action of eating.

"I see Mary eating." the person is viewing the action, adding the *ing* makes the verb a present participle. although it would sound more complete if a noun was added to the sentence. "I see Mary eating cheese."

Holy crap...Magic is right (and that would mark the first time I've ever been wrong in my life - hahaha)

Sorry, all three are correct.

I see Mary eats.

(I guess it just sounded odd last night....but yes it is correct....as a "simple" sentence.)

Muzoid goes to the Office for Detention.
