Default Free Mastering, just trying to stay sharp is all

Hello all,

I am not here to solicit a website or even my services. I am just looking to stay sharp as I complete construction of my mastering studio. So if any of you have any demos or anything that you would like polished, I would be happy to give it a go.

If you are interested, just drop me a line and I will have you send me an Mp3 ( I would never normally master Mp3's - but I don't have my FTP site up and running yet, and if it's a decent Mp3, I can do quite a bit with it anyway).

So, thanks for reading.

You're not trying to solicit the forum and yet you make one post and cut...

I didn't cut, I'm right here. What the hell are you talking about? Why does everyone just go and assume the worst right away. I have never been here before, thus, I have one post to my name... (two after I post this).

I'm not charging anyone, I'm not advertising my website, or web name, I didn't post in sections of the forum that clearly would not warrant such a post as mine, I didn't even use a signature directing people to my website.

Why are you so quick to accuse?

Look, I have no problem so long as you actually contribute to the forum.

I suppose that's fair enough, but you could have simply said something to that effect in the first place.

I moderate a music forum of my own as well as partake in many other music forums and message boards. I understand what it is to be respectful of said forum and the people that are associated with it. I did read the rules of this forum and I went out of my way to make sure I was not misunderstood in my initial post... it seems I have failed.

So allow me to make my first forum contribution by explaining how to be tactful, so as not to be misunderstood and risk coming across looking bitter and as if you are just trying to pick a fight. You might have worded your message a little something like this:

"Masterguy, I appreciate your recent involvement in this message board, and offering to master songs for independent musicians for free sounds like a terrific offer. Perhaps a well mastered Mp3 could find a place on someone's MySpace page and add a little gloss to their demo track. However, I would also like to see you participate in some of the threads started by our other users, as it would be nice to get to know you a little bit."

There, that's a bit better. Now I feel welcome and wanted. All that's missing is a nice cup of hot chocolate.

In the response I guessed you were probably a bot anyway, so no reason to be polite, ya know?

You even added the whip cream! I debated about putting that in there, but you read my mind just the same!
