Queen Victoria marries Prince Albert.

Florida is admitted as the 27th state.
First commercial christmas cards were printed.

Back up to 1890
Utah admitted as the 45th state.
Annex of the Hawaiian Islands.
Voting machines are approved by the U.S.
Peace treaty between U.S. and Spain is ratified.
Carnegie Hall grand opening.
Pledge of Allegience was recited.
First professional football game is played.
