    Default I'm hungry

So I actually did find out how to create journals (go me!) I am getting a hang of this forum biznass...and I really want some food right now! Anyhow there was a request to elaborate on some of the indie bands I mentioned as my favorites so here goes nothin' --

Bishop Allen is a band formed by two guys who were friends while they were going to Harvard -- one of them actually made 'TheSpark.com' which is a website I wasted lots of time on in highschool taking stupid quizzes, haha. They are fun times. There are not a lot of videos but i'll post one I could find
(PS - I can't get it to embed the video so i'm just giving you guys the URL)

YouTube - Bishop Allen - Click, Click, Click, Click

Some other songs worth checking out are... 'Rain', 'History of Excuses', 'Empire City', 'Butterfly Nets', 'The news from your bed'.... they are good though!

Thank you Grendel!! Sorry I am kind of technologically incompetent so I may mess up on posts occasionally

So i'll talk about one of the other bands I mentioned today and i'll do some more later --- this one is Blind Pilot. They are pretty little known group from Oregon and they are just starting their first tour currently.

Seriously, all their songs are good but i'll mention 'Paint or Pollen', 'One Red Thread' and 'The Story I Heard'

If you are trying to embed a youtube video here is how you do it.

YouTube - Strauss - Blue danube waltz

Find the video you want then simply follow these steps:

You write the youtube in the brackets the way I did here [youtube].then copy the url after the = sign and the add the closing youtube bracket, the same as the first one except with a backslash after the first bracket..../ No spaces in between the brackets, let me know if that helps.

Ok... here's more b/c I really enjoy procrastinating the homework I have.

Beach House is another good one. My favorite song they sing is called 'Heart of Chambers' and here is a video of them singing it live for the Black Cab Sessions (if you have never heard of that, it's just this black cab that bands sit in while it drives around and they sing... it's pretty cool)

BLACK CAB SESSIONS - CHAPTER FIFTY-TWO : BEACH HOUSE

Some other good songs to check out by them are 'wedding song', 'Gila', 'You Came to Me', 'Lovelier Girl'

Ok here's another indie band I enjoy....
    Noah and the Whale -

BLACK CAB SESSIONS - CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE : NOAH AND THE WHALE AND LAURA MARLING

some of my favorite songs are 'Shape of my Heart', '5 Years Time', 'Give a Little Love', and 'Jocasta' to name a few

Glad you like Do you have a journal?

here is another song/band I quite enjoy. They are called Man Man and this song is called 'Doo Right'

BLACK CAB SESSIONS - CHAPTER FORTY-EIGHT : MAN MAN

The first band is Okkervil River - I recommend the entire album 'The Stand-Ins'. They actually have a music video.. it's weird, but the song is awesome!

YouTube - "Our Life Is Not A Movie Or Maybe" by Okkervil River

And the next band is called 'The Redwalls' ...they are the first new band that has ever reminded me of the beatles.

I haven't listened to Okkervil River in ages. Thanks for reminding me that I should. And Redwalls seem like a good throwback band. Very Beatles.

This guys is absolutely amazing! He record his voice as he goes along with the song and uses it as his beat. Very talented I must say. His name is Reggie Watts.

Here's another interesting guy that does not know how to play any instrument and just hits random notes and then edits them all together to make a pretty cool song.

Reggie Watts! I saw him at Bonnaroo in the comedy tent and I had heard of him before but I had never really checked out his stuff so it was a really pleasant and unexpected surprise. Very original guy. And funny.
