oh, yikes! actually, no..i haven't been watching the news, i haven't bothered getting cable in the new house yet. only internet, but yea it has been raining a lot this year, not just often, but heavy. we're lucky we have the lock & dam, and the dike that they built in the 60s, we're right on the mississippi, some of the old flood pictures are insane.

work isn't as demanding as the house is :/ so much needs to be done

Thanks, Erica. I'm glad you like Townsend. I've been sort of infatuated with him in recent months, so it's good to see others are digging him as well. Devin will definitely show up again in my "10 albums" list, so just wait (of course, nobody's stopping you from digging into his discography on your own).
    Have a good one.

thanks a lot for the input. i think if anything i'd probably go for vegetarianism rather than veganism.

Yeah, I don't think so! I think there is a mainstream christianity emerging, in the US especially, that is a peculiar blend of ignoring inconvenient parts of the bible, insisting on strict interpretation of others, with a little comforting new age on the side. It's not consistent or even acknowledged. How did it evolve? Karma and meeting people in past lives are such universal notions. Weird that elements of Hinduism and new age psychology could get tossed in so casually, but there it is. A marvel to behold.

Nothing wrong with songs from 20 years ago (I like a lot of the songs on your playlist, btw).

"When my spouse and child come at me with a spatula in hand and try to pry me off my seat as part of an "intervention," I know I've spent too much time at the computer."

    been there, done that!

I have met some really nice people online, and I have the same disposition regarding social interactions in the non-online world as it sounds like you have. This is a great way to find people you can relate to!
