I love Ride The Lightning, their best album imo. But honestly I like all their stuff, and I don't buy into the whole idea of them selling out because when they changed musical direction they din't shift toward mainstream, they just shifted to another kind of metal.
I agree Manson, I always have and will like everything that they have ever done, I enjoy listening to their albums and hearing how they grew musically, how hetfield got older sounding and found his metal voice...I think any True Metallica will feel the same. I think it's mostly the hardcore thrash fans that hold the black album against Metallica.
I'm watching Metallica's Hall of Fame performance. I wish they still had as much edge live as they used to back in the day. It just isn't the same anymore, obviously.
i was watching the Live Sh*t Seattle concert on my lap top and... i don't know if there'd EVER be a better show to go to. it looked totally and utterly godly.

Metallica is coming to Panama (where I live) March 8! I am hoping they put on a great show. Metallica is easily the best thrash metal band in my opinion.

I think the S&M concert is better. The atmosphere at that concert would be absolutely electric
i think vocally, the Seattle show was much better. i have nothing against Het's newer and older singing style, i just prefer the grit he had back in the good ol days.
Master of Puppets S&M does kick ass though.
