    Burton Cummings was born December 31, 1947, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was the lead singer and frequent keyboardist for the Canadian rock band The Guess Who. During his 10 years in The Guess Who, from 1965 to 1975, he sang and wrote or co-wrote many songs including "American Woman," "No Time," "Share the Land," "Hand Me Down World," "Undun," "Laughing," "Star Baby", "New Mother Nature," and "These Eyes." His solo career includes many Canadian singles including "Stand Tall", "My Own Way to Rock" and "You Saved My Soul".

    Oh Yes...Yes, yes, yes

    Amazing artist...a bit of an a-hole, but so be it.

    Incredible performer, can captivate an audience, and pretty funny guy too.

    Freakin to-die-for voice.

    I'd say my fave solo piece by him is "Stand Tall"...it's a masterpiece!

    He and Gordy are very close friends....I actually saw Burton at Ontario Place, he did the skit, Gordy was in the front row and could barely contain himself.

    It was so awesome!

    I agree....Summertime Dream is my go to Summer Listening.

    Over, and over and over...

    And of course Ash you know that Fitzgerald is one of my fave songs ever, it's in my top 5 actually.

    the guy has great passion its not just the hits either..songs like is there anyone home or beautiful too late for prayin endless wire the circle is small edmund you can actually feel the ship going down and the thoughts the 29 people must have had..dynamite best lyricist ever
