Doing Green Day. Hopefully they retire soon.

I heard a year or two ago that they were supposed to have a new one out in 2008, but i haven't really heard anything since then.
Anyone know anything?
I'm pretty sure Bush couldn't stop Green Day from making an album...

They are supposed to be in the works right now. However, they also have an underground band called the Foxboro Hottubs, although they obviously haven't confrimed it or it wouldn't be underground. So basically no one really knows, but it is supposed to in the works now and likely delayed for a while.

I am also curious about this.I heard someone put American idiot on George Bush's ipod and he was outraged and said he wasn't going to let them make another album,but I have no idea if that's true.I hope it's not true,I love Green day,and I hope they make another.

Whats the point of a new CD when everything the record sounds the same!

They're currently working on a new, yet untitled one now, set for release sometime this year. They actually were supposed to release an album today, under their garage band name Foxboro Hot Tubs (with 2 added unofficial members) called 'Stop Drop and Roll'....I haven't yet visited the record store yet , though

Hmm...we're looking at late fall of this year at the earliest. Billie Joe has stated that he has enough material to make 3 albums...his plans on these albums are

*another American Idiot-styled album
*a return to their roots
*an experimental album similar to that of The Clash's one...whatever it was called.
