They need to retire! Let their music live on as it is. To come back on stage at this point is fruitless, don't you think?

Hard to recapture the magic, but it would be a commercial success.

Plant's voice is pretty well shot as he can't hit the high notes he once did. And I would be disappointed if Page wasn't as sloppy as he used to be.

There comes a time when you just have to retire and realize that time has passed you by. They have left us a great legacy of recordings that will live on hopefully for years to come. I think maybe a couple of live gigs to say goodbye would be fine, but a full out tour, I'm with Magic, it is time to pass the torch.

Maybe just some reunion concerts would be fine but not a comeback or something.

Latest news is that Plant has decided to do a tour after all, after the rest of the band was trying out other singers so they could do a tour next summer. Plant couldn't accept that and said he would do it.

I hope Sweden Rock will book them.

Hahaha, that's funny PoisonLady, I can imagine Jimmie Page thinking that by auditioning singers to take Plant's place that would motivate him to rejoin the band and do a tour. I hope they just do this one for posterity and retire permanently unlike the Who, they milked the absolutely positively gonna be the last tour we do to the point of the ridiculous.(Just show me the money would have been a more accurate title for their last two official we are retiring for good tours.)

OH there are other bands that has done that too for centuries. KISS for instance, just to mention one.

Yeah that is true enough, but the Who were blatantly obvious and when they did their supposedly last concert in Toronto the first time the ticket prices were ridiculous, and then two years later they are touring again. I used them as my example because of their stature in the music business. I have no doubt they were doing it for the money, I just don't like the BS about faking out their loyal fans for money, they are all millionaires many times over so it's not like they needed the cash.
