Thread: What would I need?

Hey there guys.

Since I am a massive Daft Punk fan, I want to re-create one of their songs for a school project I would like to perform.

But what I would like to know is.

What equipment do I need and how much would it cost?

Any help will be appreciated.

Well...first you need a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)....software.

Audacity is freeware, and a good starting point.

Now you will need instruments (keyboards, guitars, bass, drums can be a drum machine)

You can use the line in of your soundcard...but a better plan is to get a USB Audio Interface.

Finally a good quality microphone....that's about it.

Not sure on prices, depends on what you need, and the brand(s) you buy.

I wanted to do the WHOLE thing not just the instrumental.

Also its for a show for my school therefore would i need to still pay for the copyright material.

Can i just refer you to here..

Now look at their equipment and what it is playing.
