Thread: Where to learn how to play the Irish Tenor Banjo?

I'm a complete beginner with no previous string instrument experience (apart from playing around with my mates guitar). I haven't got one yet because I'm not sure if it's a good idea, if I'm just going to buy it, have no way of learning how to play it then leave it to become full of dust and never be used again. Self learn books would be fine if you think it would be able to teach well.
