Thread: how to add oboe to audacity?

I want to create some oboe tones. I tried working with FL studio 9 and it's just too much for me. I am trying audacity now and it seems to be just what I need as far as generating tones. Except it only generates piano tones.

Is there a plugin for audacity that I can use to have an oboe play the tones I have generated?

I found some oboe soundfonts but I don't think audacity supports soundfonts. Anyone know of a program that has the same "generate- Tone" functionality as audacity, but can use any soundfont you have?

Audacity is a recording program. I'm not even sure how you even managed to find piano on Audacity lol
