Hi, I've got an Eastern European friend, she speaks perfect English with a very slight accent. She's dreaming about being a pop-star in england and is heading for a girl band audititon next week. Do you think she stands a chance or do they only take purely British girls?
P.s. She's got a full-time work permit, sings and dances well, and also tall, slim and pretty, only not english.

That would go against the discrimination Act so they are not allowed to say they can't hire her because she is not English. If she has a work permit and visa etc then they have no reason not to consider her,

she could be unconsidered because she sucks, but y'know thats my opinion. let her do what she wants.

EDIT: Appearance has NOTHING to do with being able to sing. so...

I guess it depends on what her ability to command the English language is, her singing ability and how she looks. The whole girl/boy band deal depends on what the people behind it are looking for.
