im pretty sure those arent attributes of pop music.

It's not reallly a music form, it's whatever happens to be popular at the time. It can be defined as music that focuses on melody and hooks, but there's a lot of pop music that doesn't do that, and a lot of stuff that does that isn't pop.

a lot of pop music is full of beats and pounds. they usually have a lot of repetitive beats as well like bump bump bump or bew bew bew, the artists of pop music like to create a song that goes with a certain beat, if the beat doesn't work, the song doesnt work.
try mika for example, high pitch voice, he has beats that go along very well with his music. he finds ways to work it well. some artists can do it, others cant, its a form of music thats fairly hard to accomplish.

Uh, I don't think pop has anything to do with beats...Melody and hooks if anything musical.

All msuic has beats...That's not the point. Pop music, while traditionally in 3/4 or 4/4 time isn't defined by beats. There are tons of pop songs with odd time signatures, or plain freaky drumming.

Pop is just a generic term for music that shoots to the top of the charts just as fast as it shoots down. The most recent pop seems to contain some electronic noises, guitars with unoriginal distortion, and a good looking singer.
