pop music is you know POPular so it overshadows all other genres which have some really good music and no one will listen to it because it's not mainstream.

Pop songs are too poppy!
Nah, sometimes pop songs are quite boring and make no sense at all. They are too noiseless and not enough guitar strings in them!

Well, you know, Pop music has several subgenres just like other musical genres. I think that the most offensive pop music is the kind that is done by singers who are not musicians, like Brittney and Jessica. Their songs are so full of effects and background singers that you really cannot hear how bad they are. It's kinda like visual effects on a movie that has no story or plot, just a bunch of explosions, crashes and shoot-em-ups. When the effects overshadow the art, there is no art.

On the other hand, there are many pop music genres that are tastefully done. Good songs, good lyrics and good production is the key. The true measure of a good pop tune is one that hip-hop artists would use for sampling or a jazz combo would improvise on. In order to do so, the song must have some sort of substance and musicality.

its not a problem with pop music, it's the artists if you can even call them that...they cant sing, they don't write their own music, they don't play any instruments, they just dance...etc and half the time they cant even do that right..it's supposed to be artistic but there is nothing artistic anymore..anyone can get in that booth and op out a hit with a great producer..
