Thread: Must see documentary for anyone that's devoted their life to music.

I'm new to this forum but I'm looking to spread the word of a documentary that I just finished called, "Is Everybody Happy?", and I'm thinking this might be a good community to seek assistance. In the summer of 2009, I followed an independent rock band from Grand Rapids, MI during their 13-day tour. I've been editing the film for almost two years now and it's finally complete. The movie will be premiering at the Los Angeles Film and Music festival this March and I'm trying to build some buzz before the big day. The movie is the heartbreaking true story of four friends, their band and the thirteen day tour that changed their lives forever. It's my belief that anyone who has ever dreamed of becoming a rock star should see my movie. I like to think that it's a very honest portrayal of what being in an indie rock band is really like and I would really appreciate any feedback that you are willing to offer.

Are there other docs like ours other than Anvil? I like to think ours is different than Anvil because at least those guys played to people! The Bless You Boys only had a following in Grand Rapids, MI... everywhere else they were just your average bar band. If there are other docs similar to what you've seen in my clips then I'd love to know what they are. We want our movie to be original and I think the movie is to a large degree. It's different from Dig! because there's no self-destruction, it's not like the Devil and Daniel Johnson because these guys don't suffer from any mental disorders and Kurt Cobain never wore their t-shirt. These are just average guys trying to pursue their dream, and how far can they chase that dream until they realize that everything else in their life has passed them by.
