30 Seconds to Mars...don't know how "popular" they are considered. Maybe you've already heard them. They are definitely underrated.

I don't listen to as much punk rock as I used to, but seeing the above comments - - I must assure you, Paramore is awful! Listen to enough of the band, and the songs all sound very similar.
