im not a huge fan of emo/scene so i dont know what defines it but i do like FF5, and as for ORIGINAL emo (late eighties stuff) fugazi is awesome

punk wise - offspring, NOFX, against all authority. clash, early green day, rancid, bad religion, social distortion, the damned, dropkick murphys, any and all ska punk too

No. Not poser crap like Good Charlotte and Sum 41. I mean PUNK music like Black Flag, FEAR, Circle Jerks, Big Boys, Kraut, Crass, Bad Religion, Bad Brains.......

I don't listen to alot of it but I am looking for some good rock/punk music. Stuff that I can rock out to that isn't pop derivative garbage. Mostly I am just looking for something new to rock out to that doesn't sound too ****ty.

So many thumbs down for me..and everyone..what a bunch of meanies.. "Good rock/punk music" is extremely vague and "good" is a matter of opinion ..not a matter of fact.

I like Gallows from the UK. It's pretty good stuff. Otherwise I've liked the Unseen, Pennywise, NOFX and bands like that. they're not early 2000's but that's what I like.
