Not really sure I would consider them punk. You might want to check out the Strokes, White Stripes, BRMC, The libertines, Heartless *******s. They all kind of have a vibe like the Hives. As far as punk my favorites are Social distortion, Bad Religion, Rancid and Tiger Army.

For me the best punk band is the *** psitols
