CATCH 22! the fathers of third wave which is basically the only wave that appeals to me.

Catch 22 just continued doing what OpIvy and Bossstones started before. Most influental... probably The Specials, they were responsibile for 2Tone, and already mentioned OpIvy who started the 3rd wave in late 80ies. while catch 22 didn't even know what music is. Check those 2 bands out in Wikipedia.
