Maybe you've heard of them and maybe you haven't, they are a great experimental band. Don't listen to them if you strongly dislike scene/screamo/emo music because they achieve greatly in that.

But if you want to check them out. You can go to Purevolume and search for them and hear their studio recordings. They truly are amazing.

I only heard them before they were in the studio and i must say they have gotten farther. Take a listen.

Um, the name of the band is The Calvary Kids. I Set My Friends Fire is a name of their remake of Souja Boy (they made a really bad screamo version).
I Don't think this band has much talent, they singer can scream but its always the same kind. He does it wrong to and will blow his voice out. Unorigonal and disgraces screamo bands. Epitaph should of thought twice befre signing these guys,

Aprently they are I Set My Friends On Fire, since they signed with epitaph but if you listen to their remake of Crank Dat it says they are The Calvary Kids at the very begining. Listened to another song by them, They sound better in studio, but i still dislike them. Bad sound their screamer needs to learn what he is doing.

sorry to say but i disagree with you. i guess it all depends on who's ear is listening to the music. because i really enjoy screamo. and i promote that they do have a great amount of talent because for one, they have a lot of guts to sing like that and try their best as a TWO person band to get into studio and do what they do best. and second, i just think that with other screamo bands out their, they do have a shot at some good shows and all that jazziness. but your opinion is your opinion and i do respect that.

what do you think of them magic? even if you don't like screamo, if you did, what would you say about them?

I think if I was a screamo fan, I would like them. Their music is good, but their vocal screamer is hard to understand. My daughter liked them! So, I would give them a 3/5.

i think usually if you cant understand a singer in a screamo band, it could be considered a good thing. that means they are good at the "screamo" part.

Hah, I'm not a big fan of, them I prefer the more Rock/Screamo, not so much Rap/Screamo

Wow big mistake there.
If you can understand or not doesn't really matter.
Screamo is just adding a growl(sorta) while you sing. You can talk like it to.
But most sucessful screamo bands you can understand mostly what they say. Like Alesana, The Devil Wears Prada, Bring Me The Horizon, and others.
I like screamo bands that have clean vocals along wtih understandable screaming. I've been listening to screamo music since i was like nine years old =]. Its the ****. But yea i disagree with this post, it not a good thing if the singer isnt understandable at all. Blessthefall is a real good example of a screamo band that you can understand almst every word of. (Even with their new singer) And its what made them more popular/sucessful. Why would anyone listen to something that has no meaning? What i'm trying tosay is that there is alot more to screamo music than what many people think.

I Set my Freinds On Fire might or might not be sucessful. I don't know. But i can tell you many true screamo fans won't like them because the singer doesn't p-ut any emotion or whatever its too plain. And his screaming isn't all that good. They have some potential , but for now they havent impressed me yet.

That's a good explanation Jake, but I'm just not a fan of Screamo, same as the growling in death/black metal. I was surprised though when I listened to Bullet for my Valentine the screaming was well done and was used only part of the time and I could understand the lyrics and have picked up two of their albums now, but I am not a expert in this field by any means.
