I cant really say what my top 20 are, but it would definately include:

Led Zeppelin
Bon Jovi
Queen
Guns n Roses
Skid Row
Black Sabbath

there are so many others, but i cant really think properly at the moment, as i havent eaten all day, lol

but
i would also include some black metal bands, Mayhem, Darkthrone, Dimmu Borgir etc

This is a very difficult choice to make, I'll probably be able to make two or three lists of bands that I really like. These are in no particular order just as I think of them.

5. Deep Purple
6. Black Sabbath
7. Yes
8. King Crimson
9. The Eagles
10. Kansas
11. ZZ Top
12. Atlanta Rhythm Section
13. Blue Oyster Cult

15. Judas Priest
16. Iron Maiden
17. Peter Gabriel
18. Stevie Ray Vaughn
19. Neil Young
20. Heart

Yeah I know mostly old stuff,,,I'll have some newer bands for my next entry sometime later on.

The first six are what I would consider 'in order of favorites', the rest are just my favorite bands. This would change a bit if solo artists (like David Bowie) were to be considered 'bands', but that distinction wasn't made.
