That is hard to answer, unless you give us more info. National or Worldwide? Most records sold, most played, a poll of everyone asking their favourite rock bands? Plus, what is rock anymore? Some people would consider a lot of rock country or pop, and some say stuff like metal isn't rock and some people who listen to metal say everything else ain't rock! I mean, The Beatles were once considered rock! I have no idea what they are, but they aren't rock in my opinion.

The Beatles are Rock, go dig a hole and die. Converge, Isis, Meshuggah, Radiohead and The National.
