technically its the Rolling Stones(they were the only ones to officially take the title and nobody ever really questioned it) but in my opinion its Iron Maiden. and yes they're a rock band, just like all other metal band.

A bit of a loaded question, but if you look at it as 'Who would you listen to if you could only listen to one band' then I'd have to say Queen.

Led Zeppelin is awesome, but I like maybe a third of the music as opposed to Queen. Of course I like about as many Bowie songs as Queen, but all in all Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor get my vote.

The late, great Freddie Mercury had the best vocals in the biz. It didn't matter if he was singin' hard rock or easy listening, that dude could do it better than anyone. He could even get his voice so high, like on 'Cool Cat', that you thought a female was singing; or go heavy like on 'Gimme The Prize' or 'I Want It All'. This dude also had a incredible amount of energy.

If its one thing I can't stand is music where you can't understand the lyrics. I've never had a problem with Freddie. Phil Collins jokingly called him 'King Mercury'. In my book he is the king of rock singers.

I would say Joe Duplantier from Gojira. I love his voice... damnit if only i can sing like him xD
