KILLSWITCH ENGAGE
I know most of you have heard of Killswitch Engage, because they are probably one of the most outstanding rock/metal bands out there. Before anybody asks, they are not a Screamo band at any case. Sure, there is some screaming involved, but they are just like Hawthorne Heights, and we call that Hard Rock so don't go to conclusions that they are Screamo, because they are not.

I really dislike their album art. I do like the music though.

Killswitch is my friends favorite band of all time. Howard Jones is a very good singer. He sounds the same live so that makes it even better. Anyways im glad they redone Rject Yourself, i really didn't like their previous vocalist. This is probally the best metal band that has a black singer (not being racist) I also think that Lordi's lead singer is partically black, anyways. I disagree about the album art comment, i really enjoy their album art. My favorite one is the one with the heart that has pineedles sticking out of it. Really cool. Thier pretty funny live too, once Howard Jones took a kids cell phone and called the kids parents n it live, funny stuff. Another time he told this guy he could leave or get punched in the face, good stuff.

I don't care for them much, besides their Holy Diver cover. But yeah, I was quite surprised to see the black singer (not racist, just, noticed it was different)

I happen to love their album artwork!

their remake for Holy Diver was beyond any other cover i have ever heard. i was completely impressed by it.

I'd substitute the word outstanding for over-rated, but thats just me.

you've obviously have never heard of them fully. how are they over-rated? 'specially when they're the only metal band that has an african-american screamo singer. you have no idea what you're talking about.

Honestly, the color of his skin means nothing. The music is what matters, and they are slightly over-rated.

im sorry, i didnt mean to say about his skin, that was a little much. but now you're saying they're slightly over-rated, that metal guy is saying the're over-rated so are they over-rated? or are they slightly over-rated. or are they even over-rated at all. ill take your opinion(s) into consideration, but im not agreeing with you. they have originality

I just dont see anything really outstanding about them, just your typical metalcore.

remember over-rated doesnt necessarily mean not good, just means they dont live up to the hype that most fans and the media give them, im sure i like some over-rated bands too.

and also theres a band "straight line stich" that has an african american female singer, not a fan of them, just sayin that there are probably many african american singers in metal.
