    Default Tantric

Anyone heard of these guys? I've known about them for a while, but just now decided to make a thread on them.

A hard rock band that formed in 1999 and they are from Louisville, Kentucky.

Here are some of my favorite songs by them:

    "Astounded"

    "Chasing After"

    "Hey Now"

What do you guys think of them?

I didn't know you liked these guys, Dyllon. I've been listening to them for a long time now and they are a classic. My favorite album is their first self titled album it flows very well and I've had alot of good time listening to that album. Hugo is a great vocalist...too bad he can't keep a band.

Didn't really care for them after they added their violinist though

Yeah I love their singer's voice.

And a few of those songs, I've never heard. Thanks for posting them man.

Just heard their song Mourning at the end of a movie, definitely an under rated band. I think everybody should give them a try.

I know who they are, and have heard quite a songs before. I don't have any albums though. I don't know much about them...how many albums do they have, Dyllon? Your band thread could use some editing hon.

They have some good stuff, Down and Out is still my favorite, but Mind Control off their newest runs a close second. As Cowboy said though, their lineup changes almost every album besides the singer, I'm amazed that they keep a consistent sound so well with the constant changes.

Ive been a huge Tantric fan since they first came out years and years ago. saw them first perform with Kevin Martin when he was doing solo candlebox stuff but tantric has always been awesome as shi*. Hugo is the man. Gotta say I love their older stuff better though, ie: Mourning, Astounded, and Breakdown, although i think that that whole cd is their best by far cuz they still had that hardcore acoustic rock sound like Days of the new had. but thats just me i guess

If there were no rewards to reap,
No loving embrace to see me through this tedious path I've chosen here,
I certainly would've walked away by now.

I like them. They remind me a bit of Stone Temple Pilots, and the drum track to "Live Your Life" reminds me of "No Excuses" by Alice in Chains. Good band.
