Why am I still having problems with broadcasting on SHOUTcast?

I downloaded Winamp, the DSP plugin and the server .ini file. I configured the DSP, inputted my ip address and then went into the .ini file to change the password. It came back at me complaining about an invalid path. I saved it to the desktop instead and copied it back into the orignal folder and then replaced the old one. It still will not connect to the server. What's the dealio?
