My neighbor has a giant radio antenna installed out side his house. My mom said its used to contact truckers or something like that. But anyways we think this giant antenna is distorting our wireless signal. I was just wondering is this true?NOTE its not a satellite dish, its a long antenna with metal wires running perpendicular to the main antenna. When ever i go to my friends house they have godly wireless internet connections, no matter how far away they are from the router. But our internet is always on very low connections and lately we've been getting no connection from our router. When ever we search for networks, our neighbors network alway pops up either before ours or theirs is the only one on list. Yea i was just wonderin if that antenna was the major cause. NOTE their is nothing wrong with our netgear range max router.

More likely it is a ham radio rig, but if it is CB then he is probably outside the wattage limits. I think to prove anything you are going have to contact a ham with scanning gear and find out what frequencies and power he is using and what the content is. Then you decide whether to talk to him and threaten to go to the FCC or just send a detailed complaint to the FCC.

It is likely true that interfered, so you can take it up with some local officials if he had some parts violated the bylaws but before you do that try switching frequency/country althought given the increments little help there.
