Default Why does my voice sounds weird??

Sorry If im in the wrong section, I dont know where else to post.

Okay, so I admit my voice is not as good as taylor swift or rihanna, but I found out that my voice became even more weirder when I record it! I will sound nothing like my age, I will sound younger. And I will also sound like I was not opening my mouth wide enough when I was singing, like I was mumbling the words, but I know I didnt do any of that. Is there any singing technique I could use to solve this?

most of singing I have found is about relaxing, you can't force your voice to do things it doesn't want to, sing from your gut, and don't force air out like its rushing out a balloon, it should be about the same as if you are exhaling slowly. These are things I have found that helped me, I'm not trained in any of this, just what I have learned from self study and practice.

Also, the simple fact that you hear your voice differently that everybody else...so recording it is a great thing...it shows you how others hear your voice.

When recording, a good mic, and a flat, strong signal is essential....and you can work on things like approach and pronunciation....and like every other singer in the world, you need to get used to the sound of your recorded voice.

To fix the issues you listed...vocal exercises, diction exercises, tongue twisters etc...will greatly help.

I'm positiv your recording hasn't lie to you
so if you heard that, you probably did it....it's good to hear yourself, it's the best way to hear your mistakes, and know what you need to work on.
Like MZ said, vocal exercices....there's a ton on the net.
keep practicing and don't give up, eventually you'll see a big difference!
