Default Dust in the Wind is the most emo song ever written....?

they dont even try. with those stupid wannabe screams and eyeliner. yuck. but this song is truly emo and heartfelt.

Kansas is good classic rock.. it is ~not~ emo. Perhaps you should listen to some MCR and then listen to Kansas and see if you can tell the difference.

Emo was created by the youth of today who, for some reason, couldn't bear to classify their favorite artists in the same genre as the classics who helped define the rock genre. And I wouldn't say that in front of the members of Kansas, who might assault you with an arsenal of drumsticks, microphones, and guitars, and who could blame them.

Actually you are way out in left field on this one.

Dust in the Wind is one you can actually hear the lyrics. It definitely is NOT emo. It was out before the term emo even surfaced.

If you like Dust, then I also suggest by Kansas — Hold On, and the Point of No Return.

I've heard Kansas live several times and they always do a great show. They started out here in Kansas as a garage band and really made it big when they moved to Atlanta.

Well, emo is associated with whining about the simple things...

Dust in the Wind is something much deeper and more profound than the "emo" as we know it today.

emo means a stupid 14 year old boy whining about how hot topic ran out of his favoirte eyeliner, or how dad didn't give him money to go see a movie with his other feminine friends.

kansas ain't emo dude.

Emo as in emotional. This is one of my favourite songs of all time.
