Argentina fan huh?
I wouldnt mind seeing them win.![]()
A trip to the England without a trip to Scotland.... is just a trip to England.
Lol, yeah Scotland didnt qualify for the WC so i need a different team to support. Can't really go wrong with Messi (and im a Barca fan too!).
So its only 19 days till the World Cup in South Africa, I cannot wait!!!
Are you excited? Who do you think will win? Who do you support?.....
COME ON ENGLAND!
"God only knows what I'd be without you"
Ive merged these two threads together to make this the official WC thread.
Im not sure who im gonna be supporting yet. I usually go with Spain cause they have such amazing players but never seem to be able to do it (although they did in the Euro's i suppose to its possible).
Cant beilieve the World Cup starts in 4 days and there seems to be no excitement about it here!
Best sport and biggest tournament in the world people!!!
Predominantly American users here man.... 'soccer' aint too big over in those parts. You're talking my language though, im excited as all hell.
Fully expecting Messi to be one of the tournaments best, with Rooney and Villa there or thereabouts.
I'm excited Finch.![]()
Why don't you be the forum cheerleader/reporter for the World Cup once it starts? Post scores here, or whatever you want.
Ironically, I think it'll be Lionel Messi who plays worst out of the three you've mentioned. While he's had a sterling campaign with Barcelona (understatement, I know), he's never been able to replicate that form with the national team. The fact that Diego Maradona is one of the worst managers I've had the displeasure of watching doesn't help Messi's cause either. Some of Maradona's decisions as manager have been cringe worthy.
Apart from the obvious ones, I'm expecting Mesut Ozil to shine. For years now he's been regarded as a potential star - you may remember him from the last Under-21 tournament when he orchestrated England's defeat in the final. He's one of the main creative fulcrums in the Germany squad, and he's still such a tender age. I'm gambling on him being nothing short of outstanding come the World Cup.
I'm guessing you won't be supporting England?![]()
