While the Black Album isn't my favorite Metallica album, I like it a lot.

I also like Countdown To Extinction a lot as well.

I don't find either of those albums to be mediocre.

In Winter

There aren't really a whole lot from Megadeth and Metallica that is mediocre. But in my opinion...St. Anger by Metallica and United Abominations by Megadeth could have both used a bit of work. I mean...they were "crap" bad, but they werent good persay.

The only album by Megadeth I would say is mediocre is Risk. Haven't heard much of United Abominations, though.

As for Metallica, I'd just say St.Anger and maybe Load and Reload.

what i've heard of United Abominations i really liked, besides Gears of War. that song pretty much sucks, sorry.

and no, i definitely wouldn't say they're mediocre albums; they just don't hang with the best of the two.
