Mustaine, never should have let him go IMO. Hammet's good, but not as good as Mustaine.

Its Mustaine. But that dosent mean that i like Megadeth more. Metallica > Megadeth. As a band i personaly think that Metallica is WAY better. But yes Mustaine is a better guitarist.

Well clearly Mustaine, buts its also an odd comparison. Your comparing a riffer-songwriter to a soloist; Those are completely different aspects of the guitar.
Its like comparing:
To:
Different aspects of the guitar done beautifully, impossible to say who is "better".
Ideally, you would compare Mustaine to Hetfield and Hammett to Friedman, though that has been done a million times anyway.
All you have to do is take a soloist and throw him on his own and see how far he gets. For most of them, they wont get far at all. Soloist need their riffer-songwriters to lean on to provide good songs, good "atmospheres" for the soloist to shine. Most soloist cant provide their own good "atmospheres" by themselves. Obviously Im not talking about the exceptions out there like Dimebag, Lahio, etc.

But not all solo's on Megadeth songs are done by Friedman/any guitarist except Mustaine. Mustaine does some of 'em too. And in Mustaine's solos is much more emotion/feeling than in Hammett's.

IW, yes that is Friedman and Mustaine on that album. That song actually is a perfect example if you ask me to show the difference between Friedman and Mustaines soloing.
I dont consider Mustaine a soloist at all. He trys, and its cute, but he just needs to stick to riffs and songwriting.

But I was comparing the solo's of Mustaine to the solo's of Hammett. And then Mustaine is better, in my opinion.
